"We arrived right before the lunch rush and it was nice. There were 2 adults,
and 3 kids (including a baby). A high chair was available and we were able to sit in a booth.

The food was delicious! There are many Mexican restaurants to choose from in Frisco.
Mario's was really good! The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I had the chicken fajitas
and it was good!

My favorite was the bean sauce they brought out with the tortilla chips. So good!
I would definitely recommend this place!"

"I was excited to try this new restaurant in our area. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly hostess. She asked if we'd like a table or booth, and we were seated right away. The restaurant was about half full. We were a little bit early for dinner. They filled up by the time we left.

The decor was bright and inviting and appeared to be very clean. The menu is huge with so many different options. The salsa was delicious, but be warned that the green one is very hot. The service was quick and friendly. Even the runner that brought our food wanted to make sure everything was good.

My husband had the combo enchiladas, and he loved them. He is a connoisseur of Mexican food, so that is really saying something. I had the Baja shrimp. They were flavorful but a bit salty for my taste. They were a bit over cooked and never found the cheese, but the salad was very fresh and delicious. We can't wait to return and try more of their dishes. I am so happy to have another restaurant choice so close to the house.

This was a Yelp suggested restaurant which is a pleasant win!

To start I am a plantain addict so this was a must and their plantains were delicious. There are plenty of seating options from outside patio, inside table, booth or bar options it's a large restaurant.

The menu is large and separated so the Salvadorian options are separate but this menu has a plethora of dishes to suit your hunger level.

We had an AMAZING server, Gilbert who not only offered suggestions, was able to accommodate my half and half margarita request (dang these margaritas are good), but regularly checked in on us for drinks, chips...etc...

Dinner was the grilled quail as well as the Mario's sampler plate. The rice... that rice is so good... not sure why but golly that rice is good. I've already mentioned the perfection of the plantains, you get yucca and beans as well. The quail was tender and grilled perfectly. The sampler plate is a lot of food and will fill you up ....as well as offer great selections to try. The pupusa is cooked in a banana leaf they unwrap in front of you when serving.

Chips, beans and salsa.... we somehow finished with some churros which were ok but a little cakey on the inside and then attempted to roll ourselves out to the car.

From great drinks to amazing food and friendly service.... Mario's is going to be a staple restaurant for sure!!

"We are going to have dinner at a tried and true option but we opened Yelp before we
got there and yelp said we had to Try Mario's. We turned around and headed off to Mario's.

They have a fair amount of patio seating and benches to wait if they are busy. We were immediately greeted by en employee that came and held the door for us. The hostess asked if we would prefer a table or booth and even asked if we had a preference where in the restaurant. They were busy but not full.

We were seating closer to the bar. They have a fair amount of TVs should you want to watch some sporting events. They even had enough TVs to have an infomercial channel on. We almost called and bought a Ninja Foodie.

The chip and salsas and bean dip were delivered quickly to the table and happy to bring us more. The green salsa was nice and spicy and when dipped with the bean dip was very good. We had the Salvadorian options so if you go Mexican options you are on your own.

I tried the Mario's Combo also known as the roll me out of the restaurant after I finish meal. Oh my gosh was it good. I ordered the combo papusa of chicken and cheese and the serve it right out of the banana leaf. The chicharron was fantastic along with the tamal, yucca, plantains and beans and rice. Also pictured is the Quail dinner and was very good.

Our waiter suggested the churros and ice cream for dessert. It was good but not fantastic but they weren't house made. I should have tried the house-made flan. Not a bad dessert but might have loved the flan more. I will try it next time but wont hold it against Gilbert since he was a very attentive server!

The food and customer service was awesome. You must try them!

"Ever since we moved here from Vegas, we have been looking for the one restaurant we live! Mario's is it! The food is outstanding and the staff is incredible! When they have live music, our kids love to show off their dance moves. We have only lived here for 6 weeks and have been to Mario's at least 5 times and have gotten something different every time and have yet to be disappointed!!"

"Post Thanksgiving leftover blues...So I'm fairly new to the area and don't know much about the places in my neighborhood. I haven't had Mexican in a LONG TIME. So anyways, I was tired of Thanksgiving food and was craving Mexican.

Thanks to yelp, I discovered this place. I called in my order for pick up (flautas platter). I had a short wait when I arrived but not a big deal. The hostess was friendly and directed me to the bar.

While waiting 2 servers checked to see if I was being helped.

Anyhow, got my food, went home and couldn't wait to dive in. I was shocked at the amount of food that I got for $12 and change. Not only did the platter include rice/beans/quac and sour cream but I also got salsa/queso and bean dip with chips. The queso was good and spicy. Bean dip tasty and the chips - exactly as I like (not too thin but not thick either).

My flautas were 'delish' but the highlight was the RICE!! So delicious. I will definitely come back and dine in. The drinks the bartender was making looked so good!!"

"So happy they have a location close to home. The food has lots of flavor and great portions!

We loved the salsa and the bean dip was delicious! Beef nachos- lots of meat and cheese. Loved it!

Lunch beef fajitas - good portion but the meat was not as tender as we prefer.
Lunch flautas- came with 3 flautas, refried bean and rice and cheese sauce. You can't really go wrong with this dish.- lots of flavor , loved the plantains that it came with. The pork was tender and it paired well with the mole sauce. Customer service was great, very helpful and quick.

We will definitely be back. They have a huge menu consisting of Salvadorian and mexican food.

So many choices! They also recommended the homemade flan and churro. We were too full but will try it next time."

"The Fajitas were awesome! My husband loved the different salsas and I loved the black bean dip.

The service here was perfect. We were sat and waited on immediately. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Thank you Mario!!

Update...We came back a month later, to celebrate a birthday, and the service and food is just as amazing as our first visit."

"First time to Mario's. It has been getting great reviews on Social Media. It is located in a spot where there have been 3 horrible Mexican restaurants. Hopefully that does not harm their business.

The chips and salsa is great, the green salsa is spicy. The black bean dip is awesome. We had the Ceviche, which was really good and not over powered by lime juice. For the main course I had the Mariscada which was huge with a ton of seafood.

My son had the cheese enchilada, he liked it but the queso sauce was a bit spicy. My wife had the tostadas, she said they were good.

The service was great, from when we walked in the hostess greeted us with a warm hello and quickly seated us. The waitress and servers were on top of it as well. We will be back!"

"Another great addition to the Little Elm and west Frisco area. Service was excellent, never ran out of chips or salsa, which was a trick because the 3 dips they provided, salsa, black bean and tomatillo salsa.

Never had Salvadorian food before but I figured if they'll put that specialty on the side of the building, I should try it. I'm very glad I did. I ordered the Mario's Sampler, came with a pupusas which had pork, cheese and beans in it, a chicken tamal, some fried plantains (amazing!), and a few chicharon (fried pork belly). Each item was fantastic. I could have eaten a bucket of the chicharon, and probably 3 more pupusas.

Price was very reasonable for the area and portion sizes were pretty insane. After seeing 3 abysmal restaurants roll through this location I'm very excited for Mario's and hope they're around for years to come."

"My husband and I decided to go "out of the box" and try a new restaurant this week. Mario's had a coupon in the ValPak so we went there. We were pleasantly surprised to see our favorite bartender from another mexican restaurant behind the bar! He makes the best drinks and the food was delicious!

The chips, black bean sauce and 2 salsas were yummy and my enchilada with spicy serrano sauce was incredible! Service was fast and friendly. This place feels like home, we will be back!!"
